This section of the Rock Island Trail has recently been concreted. It is a beautiful trail and has a lot of bike traffic; perfect for caches so I am placing a few. I am starting on the west end and going east but you can find them in any order. I hope you enjoy them.

I had help with this one because I am a little timid about the steps. CO was kind enough to assist (thanx) with retrieval and replacement. Two thumbs up for the “container” - another very clever hide from Trea. Thanks for the hide and the smiley.

I (Melissa) am on my annual ladies trip with Nov64, Trea, Tootsie.22, Georeyna, and Berb57.

Today is day 1 of the trip and I am out with my caching buddy Trea picking up some of her caches here in Colorado Spring. We miss her fun containers back in Texas but love seeing she is still placing them here.

We want to thank Trea for placing I am Draggin' for us to hunt, find and adding to the smilies on our map!!!

A little scary going up there! Didn't see it at first but then it jumped out at me!
Thanks

I'm going with D2.0 T 2.5, if you slip it won't be a fun day, but it was a fun cache. Guy riding by on the bicycle thought I was nuts, .

FTF @ 7:46 PM

This cache had me feeling all sorts of types of ways! I wish I could like double down on the favorite points or something. Honestly, this may be my favorite of all time at the moment! I don’t know, just the culmination of the cache location, hint, description, name, and physical container was simply perfect! Maybe it was just my mood at the time, but I seriously don’t think so. Actually, now that I think about it, one of my recent FTFs ( Unicorn Toots) is probably tied in terms of favorite-ability. I am going to do the same thing I did with that one, which is put it on watch just for fun. That one has 9/10 favorites already and I can’t imagine this one will be much different! Great job and TFTFTF (Thanks for the FTFs) haha!

Daily Log

I started the day feeling a bit down due to lack of sleep and some loneliness. But I pushed myself to get out and find a geocache to keep my daily streak alive, and I’m so glad I did . The weather was perfect, and the unexplored beauty of Palmer Park left me in awe . It was a fantastic place to take in the views and snap some fun pictures !

After returning to the car with 3/3 successful finds in Palmer Park , I received 4 notifications about new geocaches nearby, just 10 minutes away . Without much hesitation, I entered the coordinates into Google Maps and headed over ?.

A few finds later, I had 3/4 First-to-Finds (FTFs) for the evening . Wow! I was having an absolute blast scoring so many FTFs in one go . I also faced my fears of the dark and exploring a new area. The trail system where I found the new geocaches was stunning and remarkable . I heard it was recently paved, and it’s so wide that it offers a nice path for everyone to share! Although the 4th FTF eluded me, I felt a mix of frustration and relief when I decided to call it a night and head back .

Reflecting on the day, I realized that even though I missed the 4th FTF, I had the perfect circumstances to be the first to find 3/4 new caches that popped up on my radar! It was serendipitous that I was just 4 minutes from reaching the car and heading home when I got the notifications . I thought, “It’s dark and getting late, but that makes me even more likely to be FTF. Let’s go night caching!”

Not only did I shake off my funk and enjoy some nature , geocaching, and sunsets , but I also had the chance to grab 3 FTFs and experience the thrill of night caching, which added to the adventure!
