Six of eight in a cache series leading up to the "High Point" cache.

If you follow the High Point Route series to get up there, you'll do about about 1.25 miles of bushwhacking and rock scrambling.  Just a mile?  You'll earn every step. For each subsequent cache in the series, follow a direct bearing from the previous one.

Small camo'd container containing a log and a coin from either the quaint and far-off land of Canada or the Buffalo Bill museum, who can remember?  BYOP!

Well it's getting toward the end of November and that means Deadman and Pearl Beaver Roads will be closing soon. So I decided that I'd make the drive out to give this series a go. I ended up parking at the top of the hill on Deadman Rd before dropping down to the campground and Pearl Beaver junction because of the snow. On my way down the road I realized I probably would have been ok going as far the junction but I was solo and I don't have chains for my truck so I played it conservatively. It only added about 2 miles each way for the hike so the overall distance was still pretty reasonable.

I was sure wishing I was there! The going was getting tougher as the snow was getting deeper and the blow-downs were getting thicker. Fortunately this one was a quick find as the coordinates were right on. Sure helps when there aren't a bazillion trees right over GZ! Thanks Triggur!!!

Thanks for this great series of geocaches. Barasaur, Thomas, and I set out to work through this series as well as attended a mountaintop meet and great. (That's how its done in Colorado)

For future finders of this series:
there is no trail
the terrain is rough
it took us 5 hours to cover two miles
it is all worth it

While I like all aspects of geocaching from time to time, this is my favorite. Just hiking, enjoying the scenery, and then getting a smiley while hanging out with friends. {ftf}

Memfis Mafia, my son Thomas, Lucy the geodog and I headed out to find the lonely caches at the top. Some of these caches have not been found in 4 years. No trails, cross country all the way. Every step earned both going in and getting back out. Every cache worth the fun. Thanks Trigger for the gorgeous views on this trek.

Thanks to Trigger for getting this cache back online for our hike to the top for Memfis Mafia and I to get {FTF} on our way.
