Ressurection of an old cache that is still in play and in great shape.

Placed on 8/23/2006 by HikerRon

Orginal GC: GCXXJ9

Description:

"Cache placed on top of Raspberry Mountain, west of Monument. rating this cache is a difficult process, as the difficulty will change according to which 'path' you seek. you could make it a 4.5 terrain very easily. i know of 3 different approaches....there may be more. so grab your topo maps, and 'seek your own path':)
cache is hidden so that it should be an easy find once you are in the area. The challenge is not in the hunt, it's in the journey you choose to take.
have fun!"

As with any other ressurection, if you have already found this cache feel free to log this one as found too.  The container and log are still there and original.

While hiking in the area back in June I had this one saved in my GPS.  I couldn't find it on the app but decided to check out the coords anyways.  Upon arrival I found it right away.  I may have been distracted by rocks and climbing around on them first though.  Checked out the container and log and all seemed perfectly fine.  After looking it up I realized it had been archived.  Always a shame to see the older ones go, especially if they are still there and in great shape!  So... To add to the list of ressurected caches here is this one.

As the original write up suggests there are numerous ways to this cache.  Trails abound in the area.  I would suggest some research before heading up to make sure you're on the right track.  Cache is not far from the main trail that runs through here.  Coords were good.  Have fun!

I came at this one opposite the way people normally come to find this cache. I started today’s short hike up from the north, from the direction of Limbaugh Canyon. The hike was significantly more pleasant than I thought it would be. Once past GCYATX 66% Inspiration, 100% Perspiration, the elevation gain leveled off significantly. Not only that, I was able to make the find on this one with no drama. Thanks to the CO for placing this nice cache for everyone to find, TFTC.

Out for an afternoon of burning extra energy with a fellow great friend and caching colleague who is wise in the caching ways. We were able to avoid the rain that happened down below, but did hear the thunder rolling above while spying unique forest treasures along the way. Thank you for placing this cache out here in the middle of nowhere where no one in their right mind would ever go to or see without a rock to flip and say "AHA! I SEE IT!" Wink

10:34 AM We are here from Dallas for our typical August vacation in Divide in order to skip the Texas heat for a couple of weeks.

Today I am hiking/caching around Mt Herman with WingsAndTails.

She had found this one last September, but allowed me to make the grab.

I signed the log. Thanks, HikerRon - RPieperCO, for the cache.

Found with Java Chip while exploring this area again. We had already found this one back in 2013 but forgot to log it. TFTC!

After hiking in the area last week when I thought about extending my hike to these newer caches I knew I would be back up here this week. I came straight up the east side to this one & that route is definitely harder than a T3.5! But I had another goal that forced me up that route but I certainly wouldn't recommend it.
