This ammo can is about 75 feet off Red Mesa Loop Trail. The hike to this cache is roughly 7 miles (round-trip) so bring water and a snack. This trail has not seen a new cache since 2004 so I thought it would be worthwhile to bring cachers/hikers out to (re)discover this wonderful park. There are several caches in Deer Creek Canyon Park and 3 on this trail. Enjoy!

My #1968 with David coming back to Deer Creek Canyon to grab 8 caches today. We live at 300 feet in Pennsylvania, so the 8 mile hike with 1500 feet of elevation gain on our third day here was a stretch. For this one, David found it quickly as I guided him to great coords. All is well here. Why don't more people find this? TFTC.
