This cache is the first in a series dedicated to the adventures and explorers. #1 focuses on American adventurers who helped shape American history, often without maps or good navigation aids. Today we have excellent maps, full understanding of the Earth’s shape and geographic features, and the incredible utility of GPS. Adventurers of old didn't have it quite so easy. When you visit this cache, please make a little time to explore the surrounding environment and perhaps learn about early explorers and adventurers. Accessible during normal business hours.

This is a log only cache. (Altoids can)

Yes, this cache needs another favorite point. It caused that feeling of delight when I finally spotted the container that I love so much. I used to work in this sort of facility so I had a feeling about where to look. And sure enough, there it was. Well done.

Thought this was going to be easy, having found one of the other Adventurers. I looked in 5 possible locations but didn't find anything.

Wow, this almost threw us for a loop; the library was closing and we were desperate! So I asked the librarian what we were missing; try thinking “big”. TFTC!

Found with a first time geocacher. Not where some of the clue would lead you but keep looking and head back for a corner.

My family and I spent a week in CO Springs while on vacation from Chicago. This was our last day here and after waiting for the library to open, and armed with a hint from the CO, I was finally able to convert this to a smiley...I don't know how I missed the cache the first time I was here...oh well. TFTC!

Hard to find! Looked in 3 places. There are 2 obvious plaves and 1 tucked in the back.
