Scenic view  Dangerous Animals  Cliff / falling rocks

Cache is a short hike up steep and rocky terrain that will be slick during wet weather or high water. There are plenty of loose rocks as well so please be careful. Container is a plastic screw lid container about the size of a coffee cup so there is room for trackables and other junk.

Start by parking in the lot and following Elk Creek up.

Good Luck and Enjoy the View!

Ok so this was an adventure. Parked. App said .2 miles away. Ok. Hiked over tunnel 3 and around cool to see from the top. Still .2mi away 45 min later. Another 15 min later I'm at a scary 100 ft cliff with the cache 300 ft across it. Grr. Hour to hike back. Underestimated that you can't hike down, you must hike back over tunnel 3. So yea. Another GC fail for me. No clue how to get to this one.

Thank you for this cache! What an amazing spot! Another magical place I didn't know existed. I've driven by this area at least once a week for the past 10 years not knowing what was up here! TFTC!

I had a rare Friday off of work, so made the most of it and grabbed 4 caches along Clear Creek. This one definitely garners its 4 star terrain rating and is one of the hardest / most pucker factor hikes that I have made for a cache. How many times did I think "WHY?". That being said it is a beautiful hike and glad I made the trek up the creek. Adding a favorite point for all of it and adding to my Watchlist to see who the next sucker is! Cheers!
