This is the 41st cache in my series of Trail Mix caches all made out of Trail Mix jars. No wait, this is not a trail mix jar.  What's going on? Well, this jar is slightly different - a bit bigger than its predecessors.  It is hidden in an interesting location not far from Raleigh Peak Road. You'll know what "Gold" in the name means once you find the cache.

Raleigh Peak Road is not open to motor vehicles but is open for hiking or biking.  It heads through Pike National Forest though there isn't much forest there due to the Buffalo Creek fire of 1996.  At the time of this cache being placed, there was some thinning of the remaining forest going on as well.

This cache is about 500 feet from the road.  There is a wayoint for where I left the road. I left my bike near there as well. It's not a difficult hike down to the cache from the road.

A lot of my Trail Mix caches have buddy caches.  This one has three each with a Laurel and Hardy theme.  To find all of them plus the other caches in the area I suggest a loop hike starting at the parking coordinates heading up the road and then back on the nearby Colorado Trail.  You can find quite a few caches if you go all the way to Chair Rocks and back. If you park at the parking coordinates, you'll have to figure out how to get over to or back from the CT.  From the map or satellite view, there are a couple of convenient connector routes.

A beautiful morning to find a Trail Mix cache and I extended ok it to the Chairs for the fun of it. I had to pause on the road to this one and let a deer cross and bound away to safety! Another great view and hike earns a favorite point. Cheers!

FTF @15.35! I just finished watching the latest episode of my favorite Youtube series "Caching with Cajrrman" which showcased several of yours truly's new hides in this area, and included a nice shout out! I immediately went to search for a possible new TM hide, and sure enough there it was along with 3 buddy caches. It's been snowing for the last two days, and it was cold but I was up for the challenge. After a nice meandering walk, I left the trail and began to navigate through the snow down to GZ. After a short search and clearing of snow, I produced my main objective for today, and once again I have found all 41 of these great caches! I stamped my name, grabbed a TB, left some poker chips and a dinosaur that wants to get home (not a trackable), and took a few pictures. I started cooling down fast and wanted to get going to try and find the other new ones in the area. Great new addition from my favorite CO, Cajrrman! Earns it's first Favorite from me! TFTC my friend!
