Was out hiking Barr trail for the first time and figured I’d open up geocaching. Sure enough this guy was ~100 ft from me. Forgot a pen but took a picture. Will send to owner as proof. TFTC

What better day to summit America's mountain Pikes Peak than on the fourth of July! Went up Barr Trail from Manitou Springs and of course I had to use the opportunity to grab some caches, this was one of them!! Beautiful little camp site and the cache is in great shape, TFTC!!!

Dropped down the Barrs trail after driving up to the top of Pikes Peak. Not found for a while, but in good condition and quickly found. It would be a nice place to stay, I bet there are some interesting animals around here at night. I enjoyed seeing the Marmots on the way up and down the trail.

Hiked the Barr Trail with Kerewin0430. We searched around for a bit and Kerewin came up with the find. It was a great place to take a break and refuel (with gummy bears) for the long hike ahead.

Got a super early start (4 AM) up Barr Trail with KJKlock today. Stopped for a few caches along the way, starting above the Incline. This was our third! We ended up doing a bit more climbing than was probably necessary, but finally had the cache in hand. Thanks for placing this one and giving us an extra reason to smile on an already fantastic day!

Phew! That was easier, and harder, than the time I came by on New Tear's Eve a couple years back. At least it was a way easier find without the waist deep snow!!

my hand at the camp; one snow/Coke slurpee (thanks to the supplies at the camp!!) ....

Even though this was the Sunday before the Ascent and Marathon (helloooooo! What was I thinking???), it was still a great day to hike and cache.
I dropped my pen somewhere along the way, so took a photo of container and log instead. Thanks for the cache!!!

What an amazing trek up Pikes Peak! This was my 2nd 14er, and I am very excited to check more off of the list! Each one of the geocaches we found along the way provided a much-needed break that we milked searching and drinking and eating and sitting. Thank you to all of the owners for placing these -- they were all great caches on an amazing trail!
