This cache is a fairly straight forward Letterbox hybrid using all virtual stages in order to locate the final. Make sure to bring your stamp! There is a pretty good walk associated with this one so be prepared to walk for about 3 miles round trip.
Historic Highlands Ranch is filled with haunted locations. Deep into the Back Contry trail, it is said that the spirits are set free to roam on brisk fall nights. This is where Halloween Town is located. If you dare search out Halloween Town, you will be rewarded handsomely with your pick of the spirits' treasure! Set out with your geocaching group on a beautiful colorado day and try your hand at locating the spirits' stash!
Highlands Ranch's only Letterbox Hybrid!
(Necessary to find cache) How to locate the treasure:
#1) You start from Dad Clark Park trailhead at the posted location. Head south up the dirt trail on the right.
#2) Head forward in the trail up the hill. If you pass over the rock patch on the trail you're headed the right way.
#3) When you come to a 2 way fork with a wooden trail sign, go right onto back country trail.
#4) You'll reach a trail crossing with a green gate on either side, continue along the trail you're on.
#5) You're going to continue to walk around a 1/3 mile and you'll come up on two sets of power lines next to each other running over the trail.
#6) Continue on the trail past the power lines until you located the "Mile 8" Marker on the side of the trail.
#7) Go 0.07 miles from the Mile 8 sign. The cache will be located on the right side of the trail at ******* curve with a clear view of Zuma's Horse Rescue to the West.
Congratulations!
