An Ammo Box on the Elder - Fehn Loop trail. 5.0 mile round trip hike from the parking lot at the end of Edlowe Road. Here's your motivation to finish the loop after finding the other 6-7 caches on the trail.
I turned 30 yesterday, and was lamenting that I was now in a new decade and no longer a young man in his 20s. After speaking with my dad, he assured me that being 30 was better- you still have your health and now you're making enough money to do the things you want to. So, time to prove him right.

I hiked out here with my 1 and a half year old son in a backpack on my back carrying this ammo can, water, food and herding the dog the whole way. So I know you younger guys in your 20s can make it. For those of you beyond your 30s, consider this a challenge and an incentive to finish the loop.

Cache is about 75 feet from the trail, and shouldn't be visible from the trail. Once you turn around and look the other way, however, it should be an easy spot.

TFFC! Decided to do the loop today on a cloudy one at that. Cache is in good shape and thank you for the smiley face on the cache map. Goal is to get our 1,000 find for the year 2019 and this is 860.

This was my first time on this trail, and I really liked it! I hid my own out here (now hopefully it isn't too close to any mystery caches that I don't know are there!), too. I haven't been doing much caching the last few years, but a recent visit to HQ in Seattle has re-ignited the interest. TFTC!

We were in the area to grab the final to a 10-cache mystery series we have been working on and wanted to enjoy the whole trail by stopping for all of the traditional caches as well. Gorgeous Colorado morning with perfect hiking weather.

Found this cache quickly, signed log, and replaced as we found it. All is good. Thanks for placing this cache in such a pretty area.

Nice place for a cache, was tempted to get the cache up the hill from here too but was pressed for time.
Thanks for the cache Smile
