Baby Bear Area

Fun cache for novices or families. Beautiful area with good trails. Several approaches possible. We recommend making a loop for variety's sake. PLEASE stay on trails until within the last 25 to 50 feet of the cache site. Watch for cactus when off trail. 100' elevation gain.
BABY BEAR HAS BEEN MOVED 510 FEET TO REDUCE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT! PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE TRAILS WHERE YOU WOULD HAVE TO BUSHWACK UP STEEP SLOPES. YOU CAN GET VERY CLOSE TO THE NEW LOCATION ON TRAILS. DO NOT LEAVE THE TRAIL NEAR THE "STEPS", PLEASE. The contents that have been logged and placed in Baby Bear are still there, plus log book and pencils. Elevation is 6471 feet. We suggest that you take a short break to meditate at Deb's Church at N 38 degrees 49.655', W 104 degrees 52.853'. :) January 2002: Team Kakela is moving to Hawaii and Squad 51 has graciously agreed to adopt this cache. Mahalo (Thanks) Squad 51! 18 April 2002 This cache has been made over! You are now looking for an ammo can, hidden in the same spot but a bit better! When we arrived, we found the cache container sitting out in the open. Please, when you visit this cache, cover it up completely so it cannot be seen by casual passersby! Thanks for your help in keeping this cache intact! We've had enough stolen, lol. We replaced nearly all of the cache contents, since most were broken toys. Many of the new contents are NEW items, still packaged. There are also handmade ceramics and other cool stuff. We left the notepad a previous cacher left there (thanks!!!) since we forgot to bring the new logbook. We will replace it with the logbook tomorrow. We'll also be posting the entries (via photo) from the old logbook online very soon! Look for more info to be posted on this cache page when we get this done. We'll be mailing the actual logbook to the cache placers (Team Kakela) so they can enjoy all the entries. Thanks to everyone who has visited this cache!- Team Squad51 The cache has now been adopted by Scottandgina. Thanks!

MPLC

Our English is not perfect, we use Google Translate to help us ...

Our journey began last August 22 and will take us to visit twelve US states and two Canadian provinces ... Our departure was from Baie-Comeau, a city on the North Shore of Quebec and then continue for a few days in Quebec City where we did some Geocaching .... Then we stopped at St-Eustache and Ville de Laval, still in Quebec, and then flew to Portland, Oregon... We made stop in Umatilla on August 28 still in Oregon, August 29 in Boise, Idaho, August 30 in Twin Falls and August 31st we are in Salt Lake City for two days... The 2nd of september we were in Rock Springs. Wyoming and the september 3 the road brought us to Laramie, Wyoming... Today will be our second and final day in the Colorado Springs area

Throughout the trip we have targeted some caches that will help us achieve our personal goals and we will certainly discover new places that Geocachers here will want us to discover ... We have been planning this trip for several months and know we will not be able to not all see for lack of time ... There are many caches but we must close our eyes can not find them all ... But it is with pleasure that we will put our signature on some of them ...

Thank you for creating these caches that add smiles to our profile and make us have a good time regardless of the mood of Mother Nature ... Our log will be the same for the whole day and if there is a particularity we will add it at the beginning of the text ... Favorites will be added here and there for all the work done ... TFTC

Another day of caching with the Ohio GeoBugs. Wasn't sure we wanted to do this one as it appeared to be a bit off the trail. Glad we did! TFTC!

Our final day in Colorado. Hiking and caching with granddaughter and Colorado GeoDemon.

The last cache in this park today. We finally narrowed down where GZ was. Made the find, signed and returned as found. There were no TB’s in the cache. Thanks for the fun and the cache.
