This cache is located in a Denver Mountain Park between Indian Hills and Kittredge.
The trail to this cache is a short but steep hike (~1.0 - 1.4 miles RT depending on which trail you take). Park in the Pence Park parking lot at N 39 38.131 W 105 16.753. Please stay on the trails to minimize damage to the environment. The cache is only 85 feet off the trail. It is a fairly steep hike so take your time and enjoy the flora and fauna. You may see Stellar jays and mountain chickadees, as well as deer and elk. Pause and enjoy the spectacular views. If you are up to it hike a half mile past the cache to take in the awesome views of Three Sisters, Bergen Peak, and the town of Evergreen. There are several other geocaches along the way.
The best times to access this cache would be summer and fall since the steep dirt trails could be slippery with ice or mud other times of the year. Pack a picnic lunch, pull up a rock, and relax. I hope you enjoy this little trek as much as I have.--DCF

This was a slick climb off-trail but made it more of an adventure. Great location - my son walked right up to it and you could hear his 'Found it!!' echo down the mountainside.

This one happens to be my 4400th find, and I do lichen caching a lot. Lots of good swag in here.
Everything is in good shape. Thanks for keeping this older one going!

New container, fresh logbook, lots of new goodies, relocated to its intended hiding spot.
The trails had slippery spots due to ice and packed snow but thanks to my YakTrax life was good.

Disabled until I can get up there and replace the container.

Found but in need of maintenance. Water has breached inside the container and frozen all the contents.

Found it, it was pretty much just out in the open but off the trail enough I thought maybe that's how it belonged so I left it. Was a little soggy inside but all in all pretty good shape. TFTC
