Welcome to the Denver Orbital Trail or DOT for short. 177 miles of trails that circumnavigate Denver metro broken up into 28 segments. It was created from existing trails, parks and greenways. Most are dog friendly and bike friendly but always check current rules and regulations before you begin any hike. The segments vary in length from 2-12 miles long. Most segments are easy to moderate but there are a few strenuous sections as well. 

This segment runs from Deer Creek Canyon Park to Chatfield state park 

Hike up Plymouth Mountain,  this is the last 'mountain' segment until 28! Descend from near the summit into Hildebrand Ranch Park and through the meadows to Chatfield State Park

Difficulty: Moderate

Length: 6.5 miles

Back on the trail trying to pick up a few more of the DOT caches. Managed to get this one, SL and returned as found. Great host for the container, looks like he belongs. Great job by YamaGypsy putting this series together. We are really enjoying the areas that have these many placements.
