Welcome to the Denver Orbital Trail or DOT for short. 177 miles of trails that circumnavigate Denver metro broken up into 28 segments. It was created from existing trails, parks and greenways. Most are dog friendly and bike friendly but always check current rules and regulations before you begin any hike. The segments vary in length from 2-12 miles long. Most segments are easy to moderate but there are a few strenuous sections as well. 

This segment runs from Arapahoe road trailhead to Cherry Creek state park. 

 

You will follow the Cherry Creek Trail to Cherry Creek State Park.

 

Difficulty: Moderate 

Distance: 8.4 miles.

Before heading to Golden Saigon for Pho, I stopped by this new cache and took the short walk to find this one. I was accompanied by the sound of cute little prairie dogs and traffic. Great placement!

LATER: Day 247/366 - FTF # 116! I heard about this trail on the news a few months ago but didn't know the route. This location is along a common route when I bike but having a pending work commitment, I had to drive for this FTF. tft , I look forward to getting the others on bike, SL
