We camp here with The Dalton Gang, (our friends and family). After finding most of the caches in the area we decided to go through our camp gear to find some things we could use for geocaches while we were up here for Labor Day weekend. This is one of the best ways I've found so far to recycle my son's sippy cups . . .

I don't want to boast but I think this is ALMOST in league with one of whizzkids caches as far as stealth and will even give Rojo464 & Pauleefox a run for FTF!

This is placed in a group camping area in such a way that I have no fear it will get muggled. Please be careful of the "mushroomy stumps" around GZ.

BYOP & make sure you lock the lid like you would YOUR kids sippy cup.

Congrats to Rojo464 & Pauleefox for FTF guess I didn't hide it hard enough!

Managed to find this one just as we were about to give up and walk away- sometimes better to be lucky then good I guess. Tough hiding spot!

7-18-15 (not the same date as the log) Prior to the event up here on 7-5, we were 16 caches behind in logging. After the event we found 11 more in the immediate area and were then 27 behind. Have a large construction project winding down in Delta and - due to work pressures and multiple trips lately (graduations etc.) - we have not been totally caught up on our logs since mid May, having only logged FTFs, Events, and a few special finds in the mean time. Now caught up on everything up to the Event which with these 11 logs will bring us to 999 caches.

We have already found our 1000th and will then log it - GCRTA9 – Hidden in the Hunting Ground, a mapping puzzler multi by McMurdo1. We found the first three stages as a team in early June but ran out of daylight, mapping resources, & smarts - and did not find the final stage that day. I literally woke up in the middle of the night with the solution and after taking the Ms. to GJT to fly to AZ the following day, went out and made the find on the way back home to Delta. I signed the cache log and logged a “Note” but decided to wait until the Ms. came back and could see the view and sign the cache log also before logging it on the web as our 1000th find. Managed to get the Ms. out to the finial cache and sign the log this past week so can now make that log entry. It is definitely in our list of top 5 favorite caches!

Sorry for the late log but want to thank each and everyone of you for having set the cache for our enjoyment. We had noted during the event that a number of people kept congregating around a certain area of the campground and wondered why - but only just a bit. When we went to actually hunt for this cache after the event - we understood why! Did not realize how close it was!

THANKS to A&MBrooks for giving us reason to come to up here! It was only after spending several hours grabbing most of the caches in the area that we realized how beautiful and peaceful it is . Planning to come back and camp for a weekend to get the remaining that we ran out of time for and stage out to get the caches up in Rattlesnake Canyon. TFTC SL Visited bugs
