Up in the mountains around 11,110 feet on a the old Denver,South Park and pacific Railroad Grade
Be watchful of afternoon thunder or snow storms
Marma and I had a Great time up here camping/caching and gold panning near ST. Elmo
We come across the Alpine tunnel trailhead just outside of the old ghost town of Hancock and was Just Amazed by Our surroundings and the history of it all.
We took a little hike on up the Denver,South Park and Pacific Railroad grade to place a cache
The hiking is easy on the railroad bed but Up around 11,110 feet the air is thin.
We think the cache is close to the bend of Sawmill Curve where many of trains went off the track
PLEASE NOTE THIS CACHE WAS HIDDEN IN THE SUMMER TIME
I wanted it buried under 20 feet of snow before publishing
Congratulations R to the 6th on the FTF
