Daniels Pass Trail is a nice trail that runs from Upper Gold Camp Road to (eventually) Mt. Cutler, along with a spur trail on North Cheyenne Canyon Road. Unfortunately, the trailheads are difficult to find, so this cache is placed near the Gold Camp Road trailhead, so that people can find and enjoy the trail. See GC2Z45F for more information on how to find other trailheads.
****Congrats to Hartsdale for the FTF!****

Left the North Cheyenne Canyon parking lot at sunrise this morning with 2 goals: summit Mt. Rosa before the weather rolled in and pick up a few specific higher-altitude caches for a challenge I've been working on. Skipped a bunch of caches along the way due to previously posted DNFs, which freed up quite a bit of time to explore elsewhere - after summitting, I dropped south to Pike's Cave and then down to FR 381 (recon'd it back to where the trail crosses it - it's in great shape!), detoured to St. Mary's Falls, and even finally got to Four Paws. What a GREAT hike! I had been putting this one off due to trail reports talking about bullets whizzing overhead(!!) but those must have been from the Frosty Park approach - today's hike was quiet and felt totally safe. On the way down, I was so close to Four Paws that I couldn't resist going for it. Thanks for placing this cache along the way! My fitbit clocked me in at 20.15 miles by the time the rain encouraged me to go back to the car.

Thanks for the fun cache! The critters and I came up to have some fun today and had 4 paws as a goal. We parked at Helen Hunts falls and made our way up to the road. Steep, but short. Then a nice walk along the road where the kids picked a TON of raspberries! With red stained fingers and faces we made our way down this trail toward our goal and grabbing this cache along the way. Stamped the log and replaced as found. All is well here! After completing our hike the kiddos also earned another Jr. Ranger Badge for North Cheyenne Canyon! How cool! Then we had lunch and played in the creek for a few hours! Great Day!

Ladditude, YamaGypsy, and I decided that today was the day to make the trek to Four Paws. I took 1/2 day of vacation and we met at the trailhead to take the longer but less steep route. This cache was along the way and we had no idea what we were in for the rest of the way! Thanks for placing this cache for us to find. TFTC.

On a cache run with chihuahuajill and ladditude today. A nice easy hike to this point and it helped us find the path we needed for the oldie. Sl, thanks!

A great day today with Chihuahua Jill and Yama Gypsy doing a 4 ½ mile hike to find several caches with the main goal, the old cache, Four Paws. We were glad to avoid the thunderstorm that made its way across the area right before we arrived. All was well... had a great time! Thanks for placing this cache.... SL
