After 5 yrs of Caching we thought we'd finally try our hand at hiding some. So we thought we'd do a series about the great dogs we've been fortunate enough to have as part of our family.

Dog #8 is Sam, short for Sam Spade. We found Sam at PetCo here in Broomfield, there was a rescue group there with a few dogs. He was a rescue from the dirt roads somewhere in Kansas. They thought he was a run away from one of the farms. Sam took a shine to us right away and we to him. So we had the newest addition to our family. Sam is a Pointer, Black Lab mix who just can't get enough lovin'. Just when you think you're done scratchin' him up he shoves his nose back into you for more. Sam is an amazing athlete and what a pleasure it is to watch him run. Whenever we're in the mountains and he's off leash he is non stop running from smell to smell, leaping over fallen trees and wood piles like he's super dog. We think his favorite job may be squirrel patrol. He goes on duty first thing in the morning laying under the tree just waiting for them to show themselves. If it's too hot or too cold he'll lay at the back door looking out and if he spots one he'll rush out the door after them. He's 12 now so we're hoping for a few more good years before he retires.

Our caching adventure for today was to head out and go find the recently published caches in the area on a very nice day. Every-time I tried to straighten up, I would find that low branch. Very nice hide and camo, TNLN,SL,TFTC

Searched for half an hour on this beautiful labor day morning. Although it's not impossible that it was stolen I think I just did not look hard enough.
