Draco Chlorinous Nauseous Respiratorus - The Green Dragon.
The most cunning and treacherous of true dragons, green dragons use misdirection and trickery to get the upper hand against their enemies. A huge, adult green dragon can grow to a length of 36’ feet from its snout to the tip of its tail. The scales on these dragons do not fully harden, granting them greater flexibility than other chromatic dragons. In lush woodlands, these scales provide effective camouflage. Green dragons have particularly long legs and elongated necks that allow them to peer over treelines or ridgelines. Their wings often featured dappled patterns and became lighter the further away the wing is from the claw. Green dragons have no actual ears, but ear holes on either side of their head. They can kill their foes with a claw/claw/bite routine or by breathing a cloud of poisonous, chlorine gas. The gas cloud is 50’ long, 40’ wide, and 30’ high. A number of green dragons are able to speak, and some can cast spells.
The race of green dragons prefer to locate their lairs in or near woods or forests; especially in remote, bleak, and wild areas. Those that live in alpine forests enjoy the high crags to look down and indentify hostile adventurers trying to raid their lair. A favorite tactic of the especially intelligent and ancient varieties is to lure adventures into canyons and crevasses; where they are particularly susceptible to their heavier than air, chlorine gas breath weapons. Green dragons are very nasty tempered and thoroughly evil.
A particularly clever green dragon by the name of Beljuril is rumored to hunt along rampart range road, and thus has a lair nearby. It is also rumored that this particular dragon possess a magic scroll in its hoard of treasure, The Log of Green Dragons. According to lore, any adventurer who affixes their name to the scroll will receive a permanent +1 to their finds total. Two adventuring parties have already sallied forth to slay Beljuril, but have never returned and are presumed slain. According to eye witnesses at their starting point from a local tavern, the adventurers failed to take heed of the of the listed cache attributes. These witnesses also noted that both parties failed to include either a cleric (in case someone falls or was gassed to death) or a trusty thief with a good set of thieves’ tools.
