Scenic view  Seasonal Access

This geocache will most likely be available seasonally July thru September.

Pie Plant was part of the activity at Dorchester but had a life of it's own.  The Pie Plant Mill was used to mill ores from the mines along the Taylor River.  In addition there was some lead and silver mining in the immediate vicinity of Pie Plant.  In later years it became a cow camp.

The Pie Plant trail is basically two different trails.  The first half of the trail is an easy Jeep road that will take you all the way to the Pie Plant towniste.  Once you have explored the town you can return the way you came or continue on a trail just for ATV's and dirt bikes (less than 50").

Well we made our annual trip to Taylor Park for the RZR Rally and had a ball. Checked all my caches and did maintenance as needed. All are ready to be found. This one was gone and we had to replace and relocate a little bit because the chute has taken some abuse in the last year.

I looked for a long time all I found was half a waterproof match holder.

Grabbed this while in town for the RZR Forum event at Taylor Park. We were actually on a group ride with the CO when we went for this. Being a little rusty and ignoring the hint we headed for GZ and as my GPS bounced all over we ended up on the top side of the shack well away from the hiding spot. As the CO was yelling from their parking spot several hundred feet away a hint we had made our way back to the correct area and made the find. We actually signed the log on the 14th almost a year since it had been last signed. Cache and log were in excellent shape.
