Mt. Lincoln Virtual

Yup, it's a hiking/virtual cache with a bonus.!

Before you make this hike please check out the great info at gjhikes.com Mt. Lincoln The background image is from gjhikes.com. Thank you!

Please post a picture in your log showing that you are near the cache coordinates.
The survey disk would be good. Scenery while your on top would be better! THANKS!

Now about that "bonus". If your into benchmarks there might just be one of those nearby.
I personally always try and get these extras when I am out hiking. This one is special as it is viewable to surveyors in most of the western part of the Valley below.

It is Benchmark: KM0450.
If you didn't realize it, on any cache page you can click below on Find... then ...all nearby benchmarks.

Or here is the page for KM0450. link here Benchmark: KM0450

Can't believe that I am the first one to log this cache. I saw the August publish date but just now realized that it was August 2017. What?? Amazing, but I get it. You have to really want to come up here, this isn't somewhere you just happen to be passing by. As I left the high point further south, I suddenly realized where I was heading. I did not like the loss of elevation getting to GZ, but it wasn't too bad. Once on top, I took a break, ate some snacks, and soon forgot all about the misery it took to get here. Two hours from Coal Canyon side. Magnificent views all around, there is a lot of rough country to the north. Thanks for the amazing location. My bud DJWetherald would love this cache, a worthy adventure. [FTF] And the perfect cache for my milestone 800. Thanks!!
