Eighth in the series.
This cache is part of a series of caches we placed on a 29 mile ATV loop near Del Norte, CO. We call it the Quad Quest. All containers are 50 cal. ammo cans. You can do them all in one day but it is strongly recommended that you plan on 2 days to do the loop. There is a cabin just west of QQ6 that is a great place to stay if nobody is there already. Take a tent just in case. If you find all 12 of these you will have the coordinates to the Quad Quest Puzzle Cache. These are all worth doing on their own but getting all of them is even better. We spent two wonderful days hiding these along with lostagain83. We hope you enjoy finding them as much as we enjoyed hiding them.

As I mentioned in our post for QQ#9, we came from the north. Our riding partners decided this trail was a bit spooky, so went back to the top while we went on thru the woods to this one, the final in the series for us. The trail between #10 and #8 was definitely the most difficult for us, but we made it! Then, of all things, more rocks! Aargh. Mimsy actually spotted it after only a few minutes, so our partners didn't have to wait too long. All that, and my radiator cap failed, so my coolant kept boiling out at this altitude. Had to stop at the streams to refill--time for a cooling system flush! Thanks for the excitement--a difficult but beautiful trail!

1st and only cache on the day
Made our way back out to the area but some earlier morning thunderstorms cut the day short as we didn't want to tackle the trails while they were wet and it looked like an all day rain was setting in (which we really need). Will have to come back and finish the series.

Beautiful country back here. I kept walking farther away from my ride home to find these caches. Thanks.
