Sixth in the series. If you are doing this series over 2 days, there is a great cabin just a little ways west.
This cache is part of a series of caches we placed on a 29 mile ATV loop near Del Norte, CO. We call it the Quad Quest. All containers are 50 cal. ammo cans. You can do them all in one day but it is strongly recommended that you plan on 2 days to do the loop. There is a cabin just west of QQ6 that is a great place to stay if nobody is there already. Take a tent just in case. If you find all 12 of these you will have the coordinates to the Quad Quest Puzzle Cache. These are all worth doing on their own but getting all of them is even better. We spent two wonderful days hiding these along with lostagain83. We hope you enjoy finding them as much as we enjoyed hiding them.

Found it! According to the website log, it hasn't been found since 2012, but there was a log in the log book dated June of 2014. Still, so cool to find this. We stayed in the Fitton Guard Station for the night. TFTC. Wish we had enough time to do the whole series.

This was the first one of the series we found. We camped on County Road 14 so we could ride some of the trails over thataway. We came over on trail 873, which put us at the top of 872 near the cabins. The cabins look nice, bunks with mattresses, stove, the works. But good thing we hadn't planned to stay--looks like you have to pay the Forest Service $25 and get the key in advance. We ride two up on a hard-tail Kawasaki Prairie, so we found the trails pretty bumpy and rocky, but the spectacular scenery sure made it worth while! We left a hand-forged hook (one of three we left for this series) and took a hand sanitizer.

Fun caches! I hope to go back sometime and finish them up.

1st of 3 caches on the day.
After setting up camp we made our way out to the south end of the trails and grabbed a few caches before the rain came. Got a chance to explore the 2 cabins in the area which look like a cool place to stay when the are back open.

Found this after a good walk down an old logging road and through the trees. After walking about ten steps away from the cache, I heard voices and saw some riders stopped for a rest - who would have thought muggles could be a problem here? Thanks for the cache.
