ABOUT THE SERIES

The Stanford Hill Series is a 12-cache mini-geotour surrounding the Stanford Hill subdivision in Aurora. Stanford Hill was completed in 2003, and is conveniently situated between Antelope Ridge Elementary, Thunder Ridge Middle, and Eaglecrest High Schools. The 1100+ residents are proud of their clean, peaceful, family-friendly neighborhood. For these reasons, please be discreet and stealthy while geocaching in this area. Please refrain from caching during school arrival and dismissal times, as well as after dark.

You will get the most enjoyment from the series by caching in numerical order. Refer to the “Parking” waypoint in cache #1, “Anteloper” (GC7WFBE), for the closest available parking. The walking distance for the entire series is about 2.5 miles.

Finding the final in the series, “What Does This Hill Stand For?” will require information obtained from within each of the caches in the series. This information is in the form of a numeric code, which when put together in order will give you the final cache coordinates.

Had to move to account for proper distance between caches. Gotta play by the rules, ya know!

Made 3 unsuccessful trips before it was replaced. Now a simple find if you get the hint. TFTC!

FTF at 3 pm. We started on this one this morning. Looked and looked - couldn't figure out why we couldn't find a 1.5. Trying to figure out the hints when up walks the CO. Nice to meet you Roger. He gave us some clarification on the hints - we were on the right track, just hadn't put it all together. Then he checked and turns out cache was missing. We continued on with our day and returned at 3PM to find the cache had already been replaced so now we can officially claim FTF. Thanks for the fun (and great hints by the way - they made us think but lead right to the cache).

FTF was not popping up, so I checked the cache and it was no longer there. 2lablovers were, though! It was fun to finally meet them in person, after finding so many of their excellent hides. Replaced cache and changed container size to micro.
