Well as I was driving home from fishing I noticed this brand new place that just said, "A cache needs to go here"   So being the 21st of the current month.   I thought that is was time for the revision of the No Hike series I had years ago.   Have fun.

We were concerned about what we had gotten ourselves into when we pulled up, but it turned out to not be too bad. TFTC!

I set out on an extended walk this afternoon - mostly with the intent to find this cane but also to think through some programming troubles. Apparently I got too lost in my thoughts as I walked sl the way to the underpass before I realized! I backtracked to GZ then did a couple passes along the primary feature before shooting something out of the ordinary. With so many possibilities, I'm glad to sign the log on this one before the rain sets in though I'm not sure I'll make it home dry! Thanks for the cache and another smilie day!

Caching our way to the NoCo Geo-Night Out #12 at the Parry's Pizza in Johnstown. We searched high an low for about 15 minutes. Decided to call cobiker to get a hint on this one. After getting a hint I also learned from cobiker that the man hole cover across the street it runs underneath the street and back up through the culvert. I guess water does defy gravity. This is something I hope to get to see when the water is running. Very nice hide ,SL,TFTC Scores a fav pt.

Ground zero kept moving around for some reason, which kept us looking for a while on this one. Team Tiger Pride finally made the spot, and we had the log signed shortly thereafter. Log and container are both in great shape, thanks for the cache!

Nice Hide! What ecanderson said about the water - reminds me of one of the tourist trap spots where water seems to run uphill. In this case it really does!

I'll say nothing about the cache that would help give it away.

Now, on to what else we did see here that was fascinating. Hear that great rush of water? Take a look. Now how did all of that water get all the way up HERE? Newton would have loved it. There's evidently a pipe under the street, and the higher level water on the other side of the street pushes it down, across the street, up to the level you see here, and there you have it. I don't believe there's a pump system involved here at all. Until you look across the street, it's a real head scratcher.

So...déjà vu. Finally, after many, many years another cache in the infamous "No Hike Required" series, this one being #21 and placed on 21 August. I can't say that I can recall every one of the original 20 No Hike caches because I can't--#1 was muggled and archived before I had a chance to get after it. But the other 19? I recall them simply because of their common hiding theme and their light difficulty and their easiness of access, so unusual for Joe's caches. And I got some FTFs on certain of them. That was at a time when FTFs for me were infrequent, and presto, I had several in no time. Why infamous? Well, Tahosa and I have joked about these caches for years and years because they are so atypical of the kinds of caches he is famous for hiding. Almost every other cache outside this series is memorable--you don't forget what he has put you through in terms of hiking challenges and novelty. The No Hike caches are just the opposite. Nonetheless, I felt compelled to find this one today. I took a trailer load of stuff to the Larimer County Landfill; it was easy to loop over from the landfill to this cache and grab it on my return home. There really wasn't any hike required. So atypical, indeed... Thanks. I'll need to compensate for this one by taking a challenging hike for a cache or two later this week.
