!! Exciting New Cache Series!!

"COLORADO SPIRIT QUEST"

The Colorado Spirit Quest is a series of Caches placed by many individuals, near cemeteries and historic sites in hopes of paying respect to the many pioneer ancestors that have 'walked' before us.

There are hundreds of cemeteries in the rural and mountain communities across Colorado. This series will introduce you to many of them.

The cache pages will provide a virtual history tour of the cemeteries and tombstones.

COLORADO SPIRIT QUEST is not affiliated with any other 'Spirit Quest' group. Special thanks and credit are given to SixDogTeam who started the Indiana Spirit Quest in 2004. The idea has rapidly spread into many states.

The CSQ endeavor is an enormous and relentless task. It cannot be accomplished by just one or two people. This project will only flourish if there is a multitude of volunteer cachers willing to place these caches.

After locating the cache container, take some time to reflect back on the lives of those pioneers and the effort it took to make Colorado such a great state.

If you are interested in joining the "Walking Through History Clan" contact may be made by sending an e-mail to the owner of "Colorado Spirit Quest #1 - Mo untain Passage". Use the 'Send Message" link at the center of the page of their profile.

Each person that places a CSQ cache is responsible for its maintenance.

REMEMBER:

If you are APPREHENSIVE about cemeteries - AVOID this series.

This cemetery has the most beautiful views. I also noticed that a few of the graves had patented metal doors, that open up, and inside are pictures of the deceased with their life history.

Found the container, filled with water, so the logs are soaked.

Normally I don't log caches less than a 2/2 D/T but I couldn't pass up a spirit quest. Lemonheadmafia and I walked around and read some of eulogies. Tftc!

I’ve been down the nearby highway many times but never took the time to look for this cache. Today I remedied that, but I started down the wrong road and had to backtrack. This is a dead end road so you do need to get on the right one. What a cool old cemetery! The find was quick and easy. The container and log are in good condition. It sure is smoky today! Thanks for the CSQ cache. I think this makes about 60 of these for me.

Not a bad find. A lot of tumbleweed removal was needed tho. Lol. Working on a 14 day streak and today was day 14. Grabbed this one and the one with all the locks around the corner. As another log said, the crazy dog before the gate came running at us, but it returned home and didn't follow us to the gate. Thanks for placing it!

Decided to get outta the house and stretch my legs a little but after the snow yesterday. It was a beautiful day today and perfect caching weather. The roads here were fine although very muddy.

There was also a very mean dog living at the house right in front of the cemetery entrance. If your window is down, he will run your car down and try to bite you through the window. Other than the annoying dog, the cemetery was in a perfect spot. The views from here are amazing. The snow covered mountains were really stunning today.

Found the cache without any issues and returned to its hiding spot. Thanks for bringing me here and the cache!!!
