Sitting on our deck last evening, we looked across the Valley and said there should be a cache up there so today I took a short hike and placed one.

Park at the Arctic Placer Park and follow the social trail towards the Mesa Cortina trail. It is about 1/2 mile with about 300 feet of elevation gain. It is also accessible from the Mesa Cortina Trail. (Just before the Wilderness Boundary go down the trail about1/8 mile)

From the trail you can see Keystone/North Peak, the Ptarmigan Wilderness and all of Silverthorne. There are beautiful wildflowers, birds, stands of Aspen and Cottonwood and open meadows.

The cache is a small plastic container.

Enjoy the short hike.
