A micro cache placed near an abandoned mine. There are no open shafts or the like near the cache
The cache name comes from the ability to see an ore chute, standing like a lone sentinel, nearby where a mine once existed.

Take the Mosquito Pass road from south of Alma west past the North London Mill and Bunkhouse. The road will climb up the side of a hill to the North London Mine location. Take the side road off to the west at the mine location. This is a fairly easy 4x4 road that leads to a few mine sites up the draw.

The cache is placed next to a dinner plate sized rust colored rock. It shouldn't be too hard to find. The terrain rating is 2.5 because a 4x4 or equivalent is required to get up to the cache location and a short hike at altitude is necessary.

Fun 4 X 4 day with WingsAndTales and her daughter. It took us a bit longer than expected to find this one, but the hint definitely helped. Thanks for putting another cache in along this pass.

Estes01 took my daughter and I on a jeep adventure over Mosquito Pass. Her mad driving skills and totally cool jeep made it a great day. We went early in the day and were down off the pass before we had any rain. We managed to get 9 caches that count toward the High in Colorado Challenge. My daughter also took a lot of great pictures. This one took a few minutes. TFTC
