A micro placed on a side road off of the Mosquito Pass road.
This cache was placed as part of a 4x4 outing on Mosquito Pass. Mosquito Pass is the highest open mountain pass in the United States at 12,185 feet above sea level. A 4x4 or equivalent is required to get to the vicinity of the cache. You can drive to within about 100' of the cache. A very short hike at altitude is required.

The name of the cache is a clue about where you will find it.

Mosquito Pass is open from about August 1 until sometime in late September in a normal year. Schedule your caching runs appropriately.

We had a great geocaching summer. It was our first trip to Colorado JEEPing and geocaching and we had so much fun. We found this on our way up and over Mosquito Pass..well the snow stopped us , but we still had a blast.

Out with DuskyKat doing a little wheelin on this wonderful day! We had a great time and enjoyed a little snowstorm at the Mosquito Pass summit. Looked for quite a few minutes and only found traces of the old container. Dusty dug into his bag of tricks and grabbed a replacement container and log. Put it at GZ, and covered the container with its original "cover". Thank you for placing this cache for us to find!

Spending our 4th summer in Buena Vista with a dozen or so of our Jeeping friends. We love to explore the roughest, toughest dirt roads in our red-mobile, and finding lonely caches in out-of-the-way places. Cache was about 15 feet from gz, but easy to see from uphill, tftc
