Cool, sunny morning to hike Eagle Peak Trail. Had to look for this almost 16 year old cache. Quick find. Signed log and replaced container as found. Thanks for the cache.

Found this one during my hike up to Eagle Peak! Took some looking since there are a couple of rocks/boulders where it could have been, cache is in great shape though! Beautiful area, thanks for the hide!!!

We had to step through the snow to get to this cache, but it was in great condition. Loved this adventure. TFTC!

Found a few campsites and a few boulders with cracks. Found a tent stake and garbage, so tried to CITO a little.
Note: this area is a good approach for Tito Bandito. The game trail I followed down the hill spit me out right at GZ.

Dang. Had a great time hiking and caching with my good geo-friend jherber today, but DNF'd this one; we got to GZ just fine, found not one but 3 firepits within 50 feet of GZ and looked all over, under, in, on and around the large rocks in the area (per the hint) but came up empty. Found plenty of great hiding spots including one with a perfect rock to secure a container and prevent it from muggle eyes and from sliding away, but no cache. Dang.

Bummer, more humble pie for me. I came with 3 Williams Kidz today to find some other caches in the area. We were not far from this one so we gave it a try. No joy today. The coords seemed good, the hint was helpful, but no cache.

Found the area. Found a lot of likely places. Didn't find the cache. Hope I was just unlucky. Still - a great day for a hike!

Adventure to say the least!! I was asking for a tough hike since it's been awhile, be careful what you ask for!! Scaling a mountain for hours was a little more than a hike, this was much tougher than hiking Pikes Peak since we were on all fours the majority of the time. We all missed the trail but this is what I call a "cache cut" the longer, treacherous way...hahaha As I always say, it will be a great story(to add to my many), once you've accomplished what you came for and you make it home safe and all in one piece. Couldn't have chosen better people to be on this crazy experience with, the positivity was awesome and we all got what we came for a smiley and lots of sore muscles. Thank goodness for Geocaches this one stated in the description it was right off the trail YAY!! (the trail we couldn't find) We used this cache to find our way down which still took about 30 more minutes but much easier than the way up. Then another hour or so, and done! Whew! Gotta love geocaching mighta been on the mountain still without it to guide us home! TFTC!
Yes,that crazy!
Yay!! Finding our way back down.

Set out this morning with Berry16, Werefish, and one of my good-natured coworkers on a double-mission: have a challenging hike and find my 1000th cache! Well, mission(s) accomplished, haha!!
Werefish had solved a puzzle cache that we used as our goal, and my #1000. After inadvertently straying from the trail early on (critical trail markers indicating a water crossing hadbeen removed), we ended up VERY SLOWLY scaling the wrong side of the mountain, taunted by the fact that the GPS said we were only 0.2 mi away. So close! Can't give up now! Plus, we have to find a real trail at some point...because...how are we getting down?! (Not the way we came, that's for sure!) Once we reached the top of our peak, we realized we were still another little mountain over! Maintained our elevation and found a saddle on which to cross, and then just had to find a way up (haha). By now the ground was snowy and our fun meters had just about worn out...but we persevered. When we did finally reach the glorious flat (dry) ground of #1000's GZ, there was MUCH rejoicing!! However, due to snow cover and lack of any other footprints at GZ, we still couldn't locate the trail to go back down, so we set our GPS to THIS one, the next closest cache and finally picked up the perfectly manicured trail here. Hahaha! What a hilarious adventure! What is it cachers say...bushwhack in, trail out?
Despite the fact that this cache hadn't been found in 2 years, it was in perfect shape. We picked up the TB that was inside. Thanks for placing this one...we'd probably STILL be on the mountain without it! :-)

Found it with a group of Boy Scouts from Troop 778, Missouri. Great location for a break, took arrowhead, left TB.

This took much too long to find - my GPSr had me someplace else, but when I got to the cache it was spot on - go figure! TFTC

I was on a separate trail that spurred off of Stanley Canyon when I decided to get this cache (I was enticed by the military theme). So came in from the North West and had to blaze my own trail through thick woods and steep terrain for about a mile. It was not an ideal route. Once I found the cache I decided to take the Goat Creek trail down to the Air Force Academy and then had to trek back to the Stanley Canyon trail head to get my truck. It was a great cache overall. I left a few Air Force Reserve patches and a 302d patch which is a unit stationed at Peterson AFB.

Continuing the clockwise trek to clear the whole Goat Creek watershed caches... here the gpsr topo screen & my inexperience with the area betrayed me. The direct line bushwhack up to the farthest north one was horriffic.
This one was aok & in a great little hanging vally. Nice spot !
