Two of my favourite activities are Trail running and Geocaching and I often like to combine the two by picking up a cache while out on a trail run. This Cache is part of a series that I will be creating that combine a Geocache with a favourite running trail in and around Colorado Springs, CO. You don't have to run the trail to get these Caches but bonus points if you do.
This is a short 1 mile trail that runs between Murphy Rd and Woodlake Rd. It is a right of way with private property on either side so please stay on the designated trail. This cache is located at the Southern entrance of the trail on Murphy Road so no running or hiking is actually required if you start from this end. It is one mile to/from the North end of the trail on Woodlake Road but you can also cross Woodlake and use a short Connector trail to join up with the Palmer Divide Trail for a,longer expedition (and more geocaches). Another option is to start at the Palmer Divide trailhead at Hodgen & Woodlake for a 6+ mile out and back.
