I woke up this morning and decided to come up to Castlewood Canyon for the CITO event. Afterwards I hunted for a few caches. I was glad to have Coralhart to help in the search. My phone was going every which direction. It would have taken much longer by myself. Thanks for hiding this one. Everything is in order here.

I had the opportunity to return to Castlewood Canyon State Park today to do another shakedown hike of my current CDT thru-hike configuration. While I was capturing data, you know I would pick up at least one cache. Since I had the opportunity, I gave this one a try using only my cell phone and c:geo for navigation (more CDT practice). Although I had to spend some time hunting, I did manage to make the find on this one without any drama. Besides the joy of the find, I really enjoyed the area and the nice terrain around the GZ. Although this was a short trail, it definitely was super cool and loads of fun. Thanks to the CO for placing this cache for everyone to find, selecting this nice spot for a geocache, and giving me a reason to return to Castlewood Canyon State Park; TFTC.

We went to the park bright and early, even though it was quite cold, to make this cache our first one this year. We enjoyed every cache the CO placed and we'll be back some other time to grab the rest. Tftc and Happy New Year!

From this geocache to the next cache (Not the end of the world) is one of the most amazing canyon hikes I've done. Highly recommended.
