This geocache contains childrens' books and normal geocache items! The packed gravel Van Tuyl trails have been made through fields north of Gunnison. They have minimal elevation changes and can be walked or ridden on a bicycle. They are very pleasant walk through hay fields and along the Gunnison river. You can see birds, mule deer, mink, cows, sheep and other animals. The spur to the geocache is closed to cycles and currently is undergoing work. There are short sections requiring balancing on logs/wood planks to avoid mud/puddles depending on time of year.

It is hidden just off the trail near the river under fallen trees.

Found it, Beautiful walk along the river, leaving a fun kids TB, It’s a great cache and I hope you get a lot of people looking for it soon., it was a little bit of a wet walk the way I came first so now I’m just following the river back down to the road on the way back. Oops , yep I have to go back the way I came and not south along the river because there’s no river crossing bridge OK then just wear some old shoes because it’s a little bit swampy in one sectionTFTC.
