This cache will take you off trail and up nearly 2,300 feet in elevation. The cache is at timberline at about 12,000 feet. Steep climbs are involved.
The cache is in an ammo box and the coordinates should be pretty close. You are able to see the summit of Pike's Peak from the cache. Also you can see my cabin so make sure to wave to me when you are at the cache. There are reasonably nice items in the cache, please trade for like items, no junk please.

SnailMan1 and I found this on on the way down and then we went for some pancakes.

Thanks for a fun cache!

It took awhile for Hartsdale and I to find a path to the top, but we eventually scored. TFTC.

We did the loop from Horsrthief TH, through Horsethief Park, up the cairn trail to Sentinel Point, down the ridge to just before Pancake Rocks and out the trail to the car. Quite a long jaunt for us. we were feeling pretty good till we started bushwhacking/sliding down the hill towards Pancake Rocks. The original plan was to hit Pancake Rocks and cache out that trail but we were pretty spent. We just got the RTP and left the others for some other day. SL Took TB TFTC :-)

I've always wanted to do this cache. I was not so enthusiastic when I got 200ft from it and realized where I had to go, but none the less it was a great cache. Swapped trackables.

Dude, I have no idea where your cabin is, but the "Views" from this cache are awesome. This type of cache is one of the best reasons to go Geocaching, wonderful views, getting in a great hike, and discovering an area that one might not never encounter without an extra reason to go exploring. Thanks, I dropped off a T/B.

I pretty much bushwacked straight up to this one from above Horsethief Falls. It was steep but it turned out to be a good route. There wasn't too much undergrowth or deadfall to deal with. It was great to make the ridge and finally get out in the sun. It is November after all even though it doesn't feel like it in the city. The views were totally worth the effort to get here. TFTC
A peek at today's goal on the way up

Looking south from the cache
Pikes Peak sticks up just over the ridge
I'm not done yet!

Dropped from Sentinel, but now how to get down from here? Good place to finish lunch for sure.

Not sure where your cabin is, but the views we saw as we approached your cache are unparalleled. I was exhausted coming from the hike up to the Sentinel Point cache, but this area is so beautiful and the rock formations so interesting that I felt energized…which was a good thing as I was having trouble keeping up with Ernie. Excellent spot for a cache. Thank you for bringing us out there.
