Fairly easy to find, near a favorite campground. Plastic sure lock tub stocked well with cool swag. Note: if you take a TB, please leave a TB to keep the contents stocked, thanks. Altitude is 9777 ft. This is our first cache, so let us know how we did! This cache should be pretty easy to find, however, the trail is not accessible in the winter until after the snowmelt. You will find parking at coordinates: N39 03.327 W108 05.645. From the parking area, follow the trail on the right. When the trail "T"'s off, go left and follow your GPS. Dense wooded area, so coordinates may be off a bit, but still easy to find. This short trail leads into the West Bench Trail through the Mesa Lakes area, if you want to keep going for a nice hike. Our family saw a cow moose at this very spot one year while camping. My then 10 year old daughter origianlly thought she saw a bear, however, upon looking closer, it was the "Moose on the Mesa". Bring bug spray in the summer and please re-hide well, this is a popular hiking area. Original contents: Moose on the Loose TB, Gunner the Yellow Lab TB, FTF pin, CITO trash bag, sticky notes, Queen magnet, (2) 2008 mini calanders, several Oak Coin pins, Guiness Book carbeaner, Log book with pencil and pack of Avon SSS Bug towelette.
