The cemeteries of Central City are well known, and visited often. These two sites are different. The first is in a beautiful cemetary on Bald Mountain. Not on the "tourist" trail of cemeteries.

1. The grave site of Estal Slater. Died at the age of 23. The only thing unusual is his picture is on the headstone. This was chosen to get you to the cemetery. Take some time to look around in this pretty cemetery. There are some unusually large family plots, parents with numerous children. One headstone in the shape of a teddy bear for a child.

2. A lonely gravesite for a little girl. A resident of Missouri Flats who was left to rest permanently above the townsite, and alone. The original headstone was vandalized, and a wooden monument has been put up. Why anyone would vandalize and take a headstone off a grave is beyond me. The coordinates are: N 39 47.382, W 105 30.736.

To complete this cache you must email me the answers to the following questions:

l. Since I have given you the name and age of the first site, I want the inscription at the bottom of the headstone.

2. I want the information off the headstone of the little girl - all of it.

Logs that are posted and I have only recieived partial information will be deleted.

Enjoy

Headed up to the mountains today to escape some of the heat in the city. Great day to explore an area that we had not been to before.

Good condition.
Finished this one in the rain!

Answers to follow when home.

I downloaded this geocache, but the description did not load. Thus, I had no chance to do this one, and the coordinates were bouncy anyway. I will be back and I'll print the description out ahead of time.

Headed up to Central City and Nevadaville for a few caches. I was surprised as I keft the snow storm in Denver to discover no new snow up here. I went to both locations (the first with a little bit of sneaking.) Answers sent. Tftc!

Day 3 of 3 days in the mountains finding caches, checking on our caches, gambling and even hiding 2 caches. We were lucky - it was supposed to rain starting about noon but held off until we were almost home. This wasn't on our list but after finishing CSQ we spotted this one on our map. Unfortunately we didn't read it closely enough so left and went to the little girl's grave and then realized our mistake and had to drive the whole way back here to get the information at this site !! It was all worth it though - what a special cache. Thanks for setting it up. Sending answers.

Went after this virtual multi to fulfill today's mission requirements. Upon arrival at stage 2, when looked at the hard-copy page to write down the answers to the questions, I noticed that the cache was placed exactly 14 years ago today! Strange coincidence, as I didn't even notice the date and it was completely unrelated to why this cache was chosen for today's run up the hill--and this was the ONLY cache we had lined up for today! Weird. . . . Thanks for the adventure--answers en route via GC.com messaging. TFTC BigSmile

I found this one with very little problem. The Bald Mountain. It is an amazing resting place. People buried there can really rest in peace.
It was nice to see that the little girl's grave has been protected. Whoever did it made the site beautiful as is befitting for the young lady.
Information has been sent to the C. O.

Thank you for the cache.

Thanks, ahelir! I had to circle back to get to the final, which I had seen in relation to another cache last month. I sent the email with the answers to the questions. I always say that a day with a multi is a good day, so this one gets a favorite point from me. This morning I came up to the mountains to find geocaches in both Clear Creek and Gilpin counties. The roads were a lot rougher than I expected, and there was still snow in some sections. I am glad I was able to do a loop and not have to go back the way I came. We recently bought a Subaru Forester, so we had the all wheel drive and ground clearance necessary for these roads, but it was a new experience for me. The Hyundai Elantra and Toyota Camry would never have made it. It was a lot of fun, and I hope to come back to the mountains several more times in the next few months on the paved and unpaved roads in the area.

Fun cache, very fun at night! Tftc, so sad to see how hard life was for the young ones. And to be interned alone.
