We've done many a trail ride past this old cabin -- just above Crane Park -- and we usually end up stopping for a break here -- so GrumpyGma and I thought it would be a great place for a cache.

Sorry we can't tell you much about this cabin, but I'm sure if it could talk, it would have many a story to tell!

BYOP This cache is at approx 8,465 feet and should be accessible by most normal modes of transportation when you are thinking of jeeps, OHV, 4-wheelers, motorcycles, snowmachines, bicycles, horses, and even walking!  I wouldn't take my low clearance car though -- any probably not even our full size dodge pickup although if I told my husband he couldn't get it up here, he would!!!  laugh

The cache MAY be accessible in the winter (via snowmachine of course), as it is not on the ground, so we'll be interested to see if anyone logs it in the winter!

Checked on the cache while in the area -- it's actually easier to find now that the old dead tree has been taken away from the cabin! Let me know if you need a hint! We'd be glad to help!

This cache was exactly where it should be the last week in July. We didn't think it would be that difficult, but maybe it is because of the trees and bouncing gps signal! If you need a better hint, I'm glad to share one! It's not meant to be super hard -- it's more about bringing you to a super neat place!

We stop here every year when we are on this trail. That said everyone else stops here also, and look through this cabin. We had 6 people crawling all over this cabin looking for this guy and could not find it. I hope we just missed it, and it did not walk away. Will be back next year.

We didn't find the geocache but the walk to the cabin was really nice and the cabin itself is really cool.
