Erie

With French contact limited to one brief meeting, very little is known for certain about the Erie except they were important, and they were there. The Dutch and Swedes also heard about them through their trade with the Susquehannock, but never actually met the Erie. All information about their social and political organization has come from early Jesuit accounts of what they had been told by the Huron.

We were in Fraser to visit with our daughter who works at Crooked Creek Young Life Camp. She had to work today, so we decided to head for this cache. That was some bumpy road! My wife was not at all excited about it especially when I got close to the edge whilst trying to avoid the holes. We got to the cache location and were very excited about the view. It was beautiful. We lingered there to enjoy the area and pick out places that we knew. We searched for the cache and found quite a few things that went along with the hint. Eventually, we found the correct one. TFTC SL, Aiken, SC (3646)
