Nice little birdhouse. I've been thinking of doing my own and was wondering how they get secured and attached out here in the west while still following the guidelines. TFTC.

up on mesa for church vespers program at Land o Lakes (Island Lake) overlook parking area. Many of our friends know we are geocachers and wanted to know if there were any caches in the area. "Sure, there are dozens (most of them ours) and there are two right at the overlook but as have no cell reception can not show them to you on a map. Eventually many of us went up on the point and WOO HOO! 4 bars of reception so pulled up the geomap. WOW! A new cache just down the road that we were not aware of! Here we are, took a bug and left a bug making good use of the latest TB Hotel in town!
As for being accessible in winter? Last year was an exception but due to drifting, in the trees there is usually 8'-10' of snow in this area, 15' is not unusual. We know of one just across the road at Scales Reservoir (1.5 miles away) that is hung by rope and pulley (to let down in summer) that is 10-12' high, we snowshoe'd in one winter with a group of kids and found it at chest level, just right for winter!
