Located on Mount Evans. You will have to pay a fee to get in the park.
It's a traditional cache at the end of the road of Mount Evans. Some people find it, some don't.
Updated: 7/18
Ok, so here's the deal. Apparently it's really hard to find for some people. Other's find it right away. I think over the years some geochachers have hidden a 2nd chache. So there may be 2 in the area.

If you find it, post some good pictures please.

UPDATED: 7/31/2016
The cache has bee updated. I replace the container with a new one, a new log, pencil and the much coveted Cajuns in colorado geocoin.

UPDATED: 05/07
Beware: This have been removed or sabatoged.
If there are a few more DNFs I'll disable.

UPDATE: 10/05

I had a few 'not found' logs so I took a trip up there and planted a new cache - same coordinates on 6/25/05.

Again, I'm getting some NOT FOUNDS, but it seems that in the past once in a while someone would find it even with the not founds.

SO: Look at it this way, if you are going to Mount Evans take a look, but don't plan a special trip. After the thaw, if I get more NOT FOUNDs, I'll disable. Park Rangers may be removing the cache.

Good Luck

I rated this a 2 becuase you have to climb over some rocks (no climbing gear, just good hiking shoes). Also, I think it might be a little hard to find considering the terrain. If I get 'easy' remarks, I'll change it.

After a nice drive up the mountain, you'll have a small challenge to find the cache. There are a lot of people around, so be secretive!

Think about the name and it'll get you in the general area.

BONUS: You might see mountain goats, long horn sheep (ram) and assorted prarie dog looking creatures! There are also a couple of stops along the way with good hiking.

Cache contains:
1. Log book and pen (please don't remove)
2. Silly putty
3. super balls
4. MOST IMPORTANTLY: Band Aids

NOTE: There is no water or food on top, just a port-o-let style bathroom.

IMPORTANT: Do not take elevation sickness lightly. It's almost 3 miles in the sky. Bring and drink WATER and some snacks.

Good Luck!

UPDATED 7/31/2016 ******************
So, I think there are 2 caches, here. Someone placed a new one a few years back.

If you find the cross, go up hill and to the left a bit.

Supposedly there is another to the right, but I couldn't find it :)
************************

If you find a crucifix in the ground (a memorial for someone) you are about 25 feet away (guess the direction). Look for a rock with a 'knob' sticking out the top of it.

It's hidden under a large rock, of course.

Chords were right on, I was little Geo pile made it easily recognizable, thanks for the fun of storms coming in. It’s just on the other side of this rock

Spent about an hour looking for this and found neither container. Haven’t looked for much beyond lpc with the kids lately though so could just be off my game. Was a windy day but beautiful spot, thanks for bringing me out here away from the parking lot.

Just wow!! There are no words to describe how amazing this place is. This is the second time I visit this place. The first time I got altitude thickness and could not walk around or do anything at all. I missed everything. This time was different. I got to the top, I drove all the way without feeling anxious and reached the summit perfectly fine. I explored this place around to capacity, took great photos and decided to collect all caches I was not able to get the first time around. Amazing place, just amazing and breathtaking. TFTC

Looked all around and was not able to find. My phone had no service and my geo sense was completely off.

We found the small cache while searching, and since we had no service we just figured that the owner had replaced it with a smaller canister. There was no pen inside, and we were unable to sign but did take a picture of it!

Walked over from the Mount Evans summit parking lot and found this one. Didn't find a regular size cache but a pill bottle and log with lots of signatures. SL TFTC

Our 2nd cache of the day. We flew to Colorado for the long weekend to hike and summit some 14ers. We landed at DEN this morning around 7:30, picked up our rental car, and immediately drove to Mt. Evans. Great way to acclimate to the altitude by driving to 14,000+' for a short hike. Glad we brought along our national park pass to save the $15 fee. Before visiting the true summit of Mt. Evans, we walked over to look for this cache. Found the smaller container, but could not find a regular sized one, just the micro. Many thanks.

Unexpected, we had an additional day to spend in the Denver area. We decided to drive to Mt Evans, which was a good decision. After some looking around and with the help of the spoiler picture we managed to finde the micro. Thanks for hiding!

Came up and searched, saw that there may be two caches and I poked around a little. there are 2, 14 foot apart (approximately). I signed both and sent info to the CO to decide which is the original. great day up here

We got a pretty good parking spot and walked around a little bit. My mom's little shih tzu, Jake, joined us. LOL one lady came running across the parking lot to pet him. Anyhoo, my mom decided to head back to the car and I came out this way to grab the cache. Took me a bit of looking but I finally found a container and signed the log. After reading some of the other logs, I'm not sure if there's one cache out here or two. Oh well, I inked one of them! Find #2656.

My mom said she'd like to go to Mount Evans, she doesn't ask for much so I had her pick a date and today was the day. We started off slightly later than planned, but not really a big deal. Mom said she's seen mountain goats every time on Mount Evans, and this time didn't disappoint. We saw them on the way up, while we were at the top, and on the way down. Found all the caches I looked for, which always makes for a good day. Thank you to all the COs for my high altitude finds!

What a great view up here. I was certainly moving a bit slower at this altitude. TFTC.
