This is a moving tribute to these fallen men and women. We recognized the names of some firemen who perished in a huge fire several years ago back home. Answers are on the way.

Out caching with (piker) as we are traveling west towards Flagstaff, AZ. We are trying to find caches in each of the counties we traverse along with challenges and virtual caches. We were quite successful. This was one of the ones we found.

Our family is on vacation in Colorado Springs. Since my biological clock is on another time zone, I'm up very early in the morning. While my family was sleeping in the hotel, I decided to visit Memorial Park.
There was a chilly frost on everything, and no one else was around. What a special memorial to these men & women who gave all to save others. It's a somber place to reflect on their sacrifice. I found the answers and took a few pictures. Thanks for maintaining this VC.

Our second big trip this year. This time more mid country hunting for the oldest caches in the states. Our trip started in Kansas City, MO and continued through Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, the most NW corner of Texas, New Mexico to culminate in Colorado. It rained all day first three days but that did not stop us to accomplish our goals and some. Colorado Springs welcomed us with the snow and below freezing temperatures. But the hunt must go on... Maggie :) and I enjoyed this beautiful country, the scenery, the animals, the food and friendly people.

We’ve been traveling all day through the state of Kansas. I was excited to finally arrive in Colorado so I could color in the county that holds Colorado Springs. This Virtual was just down the street from our hotel and I knew it would have good parking. I made my way over here and was so impressed with its beauty. This deserves a Favorite Point and I love the virtual caches. Since it was very windy (and cold), the flags were flying in all their glory. What a beautiful memorial.

On a Fall trip through Colorado doing some caching and seeing the sites. A beautiful scenic drive through Rocky Mountain National Park. Visiting the downtown areas of Boulder, Denver, Castle Rock and Colorado Springs to name a few. We enjoyed a beautiful hike on the Barr trail at the Summit of Pikes Peak. It was a wonderful trip with quite a bit of caching thrown in along the way. This was a very impressive memorial. Answers emailed.

While in town on vacation we came to the park for the LDLO Balloon fest. Nice morning for a walk around the park. Explored this memorial before heading over to the balloon festival.

My wife and I got goose bumps as we stood reading the names and then to see all of the blank stones knowing that more names will be lost. Answers are on the way. TFTC

This was a very sobering memorial. Realizing the names were ordered by year, I went around to 2001 and saw that September 11 had its own designation. Thanks for highlighting the memorial.

A fun virtual find with CShare this morning as we toured the Colorado Springs area.
It was tough to make out the flag names in the absence of wind, and the dedication date was impossible to locate.
