This cache is in Golden Gate State Park.  There is a $7 daily fee to visit.  There are other caches in this beautiful area.  Park at Bridge Creek and take the Burro Trail.  Take the Mountain Lion Trail to the City Lights Trail and take it all the way to the top.  The cache is at the base of the pine tree that is just to your left as you approach the top.  It is covered by a few rocks.  

Do not look around any areas that are down the slopes.  It may be muggled, but I would rather risk that than have anyone go very far from the trail itself.  I will post a picture of the tree.  After you have hiked uphill to reach the top, enjoy the view!  You won't need much time to find the cache.  Above all, be safe.

We made it! This cache was our goal today, and with a little mutual support, Lizzybeth13 and I made it to the peak. And wow, the view goes on forever. The city of Denver is way off in the distance and I can just imagine the sight after dark (thus the namesake, right?) This also makes for our highest-altitude cache, at about 2610m (8560'). The cache is in good shape, and the logbook is not too well-used! Taking these challenging trips in the outdoors reminds me of why I love caching so much, and these end up being the most fulfilling caching experiences. Beautiful view after a satisfying hike. Definite favorite point.

I was out in Denver for a work conference (my first time in the area) and was joined by Lizzybeth13 to spend a few extra days visiting friends and finding caches. Today we took a drive up to this trail in Golden Gate Park to do some hiking and caching. I wanted to get some real hiking in while out in Colorado and this provided this experience :) The peak also gave us our highest-altitude cache find to date! Thanks for placing this one

What an adventure! I joined up with KalahariFox in Denver to stay with some friends out that way. We are Athens, GA based! Besides catching up with old friends, we decided to make a caching adventure out of the trip (duh.). We ended up grabbing many caches (some very desirable ones!) in CO, KS, and NE during our stay. My favorite part is always seeing what kind of wildlife we encounter. This trip we ended up seeing a pronghorn, prairie dogs, turkey vultures and even a prairie rattlesnake! So neat! Thanks for helping make this trip a total delight :)

We decided to take a nice hike up along this geotrail today! We weren't sure if we would get to the top and log all 4 caches, but in the end we did! All are in great condition. It is such a beautiful view here from the top!

Found this one a few days ago with my buddy, Greasepot. Beautiful spot! Though I’m not sure about hiking up here at night to see the lights! Lol! Think I’d have to camp out to enjoy them :). TFTC ^..^

Out for a beautiful walk in Golden Gate Canyon this morning with TeamDigDog. This was a great short hike, and the fall colors are really nice. 11:07:00 AM% Thanks! This was our final destination today. Thanks for getting us out here. I left a Scrabble tile in the cache and took nothing.
