Jose Torres, a local rancher, lost a few strays in the juniper thickets and when Cowboy came upon the cattle he recognized the brand, the Diamond T as being that of Torres. When Cowboy showed up at the Torres Ranch, Jose came out to meet him. He was pleased to have his cows back.

. Cowboy spied a pretty young Mexican girl all decked out in a white blouse and colorful red skirt. Others were running around fevorishly putting up decorations. Noticing Cowboy looking at the Mexican girl, Torres said "She is my daughter, Isabel, and we are celebrating her 18th birthday today. There is a fiesta in a few hours. You must stay and meet my daughter and share some barbacoa, carne asada, arroz, frijoles, and flan with us". Cowboy could not take his eyes off Isabel and he noticed she had a shine for him as well. "Como no" said Cowboy, "I would love a good meal and entertainment".

We ate at Fiesta Mexicana each evening we were in Cortez, Colorado. Absolutely delicious and everyone was so friendly. For dessert, a geocache was in order. A quick find. Thanks!

Yet another find on me and SaltSilds roadtrip around the western part of the United States.
We started in Seattle, where we visited GZ HQ before driving down to Oregon and logging some really old caches. Including a visit to the original stash.

So far we have been to Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona and now we have reached Colorado.
We found this one on our way back after visiting the spectacular spots in Mesa Verde National Park.
This was a fast park and grab, which is always nice.
Thank you for the cache!

Now the roadtrip goes on, to new states and new finds!

Yet another find on SaltSild and Søtsilds roadtrip around the United States.
So far we have been to Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona and now Colorado. We started off good with a visit to GZ HQ in Fremont / Seattle, then kept on going strong by visiting the original stash tribute and some really old caches in Oregon.

Then our trip went from a geocaching pilgrimage to a national park tour.
We have been to Mt. Rainier, Crater Lake, Avenue of Giants, Death Valley, Red Rock Canyon, Zion and now Meza Verde.

We spent many hours here, doing Mesa Top Loop Road, Step House and both Cliff Palace and Balcony House. Spruce tree house was unfortunately still closed due to rock fall.

Now the roadtrip goes on, on to new finds and new adventures.
