Hidden in a small rock cave. The cache is in one of those fundraising cookie tins.
Drive to the Mt. Herman trail head. Hike for about a half mile. You will leave the trail.

The cache is partly buried and hidden inside. Inside the cache is 2 packets of daisy seeds, a matchbox car, crayons, and a feather from my Blue & Gold Macaw (a parrot). There is also a notebook to write you information and two pencils.

The cave is created from a couple of very large granite boulders. The lat/longs are accurate to 43 feet.

 Hints

A hint on when to leave the trail: There is bunch of 5 small pine trees (two 2" diameter trunks, three 6" diameters) next to the small trail. There is a false entrance just past the creekbed (you may not see it). The entrances are about 200 feet off the trail. A half-moon rock is about 5' tall. There is a small trail heading left. Turn ~315 degrees and walk straight, there are two entrances.

What a great day for caching. My daughter and I set a goal of 10 near Mt Herman and were not disappointed. This was our sixth of the day. Great cache and in great shape. TFTC and SL.

Thanks for the fun cache! I needed a good hike today after a long work week. I decided I'd climb up Mt. Herman and grab a few caches along the way. Resistance was my ultimate destination. This was my second cache and definitely a really fun one! Now... A smart person might have taken the trail to this cache from the previous cache... Well... I'm not that kind of guy! So I went straight from that one to this one. What a tough climb and so many boulders and obstacles in the way! Once I made it here I was standing at the opening. I gave a bit of a pause as I peered in hoping I wouldn't see any movement. A few warnings for any bears or mountains kitties to please vacate through a back opening would be appreciated, I went in. These are great examples of what I consider to be nope rocks! Large boulders precariously perched on others... Some day... They will not hold... Well, it wasn't today! Phew! Everything stayed stable! Lol! Once in I poked around where I could see then reached for my pack and pulled out the flashlight to explore a bit further. I'm glad I had that as it made things much easier to spot. Signed and stamped near a friends log and replaced as found. All is well here! Onward!!

Lots of really neat plants along the streambed and boulders, so I took special care to leave no trace. The cache is in good shape, although it helps to have a flashlight. Rescued sasquatch to set him on new adventures.

Found it, so glad I did for all the effort. Definitely need a flashlight. Pretty cool cave. Kinda have to explore a good bit of it to get to it. Tftc. Someone left their firewood already stacked for next time.
