The Rio Olympics has decided to add a new sport. GEOCACHEING!!!!!!!!!!!! Come find this fun cache here in colorado placed over the olympics. You will need another person to find this cache or many people. When you arive at the posted cordnents with you buddies you will find a large duck taped container. When you do open it up. Inside you should find 2 Olympic handy books. Have each player or team take one. DO NOT OPEN THEM YET. Also inside will be 2 pens a gold one and a silver one. Have someone carry them. You will need them to sign the final log book. If you would like to leave trackables in this cache place them in this container. The final is to small. Also the ftf coin is in the first container. Please do not take it until you have found the final. The rules of the sport are simple. Each player takes one booklet. Inside the booklet are directions to your cache. Also each team need a gps. When someone says go open up your booklet and go to the cordnents. Folllow the stages in the booklet to get to the final. Do not flip to the next page until you have finished the stage your on. Each team has 5 stages. One team has a longer route but the other has a puzzle. When you finish the last stage go to the final. First team to grab hold of the cache wins and gets to sign in gold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Second place gets to sign in silver. If you would like to time how long it takes you to do the race. When the person says go start the timer when you tuch the cache end the timer. Then post your time in your log and I will place it on the word record table. Please be fair and not give false times. Wow, this was a tough one.We were down visiting Longmont a few days this week and thought we might try and tackle this multi. I was shocked to see that no-one had been able to complete it so far - until we started. The write up is fun and the physical stages are cute. We cache with our entire family so it is fun to see that other families are doing the same. Some of the stages are tricky, and there is a lot of walking. To get tot he final you will have to remember there is more than one way to denote coordinates. We just want to say great job on this fun family friendly multi-cache adventure. The terrain is at least a 1.5 ( maybe more depending on how much walking you end up doing). The difficulty is at least a 3 as marked. While it seems simple there are a few spots that can be tricky. When you complete the cache we recommend doing as the description indicates and doing it with two teams. We tried both approaches and were only able to get to the final after going back a second time and confirming our calculations with the owner. Very fun. The bad news is that some unscrupulous cacher or muggle stole the FTF coin before anyone was able to complete the cache. It is a shame but does happen sometime. I had an extra which I was going to use to restock then decided it may just go missing as well. This one gets a favorite for creativity and cuteness. A family that caches together.... you know.
