Short hike and fun climb for the family.

This is a short hike that our family has enjoyed for decades.  The cache is at the foot of a large rock pile formation.  Thus, the name dubbed by the family.  Finding the cache requires a short, easy 10 to 15 minute hike along an old US Forest Service Road, so the trail is well defined and ends at "The Rocks".  Park at the end of Lynx Street where the trail begins.  Cache is located at the west side at the base of the Rocks.  It is under a rock overhang that is somewhat semicircle shaped.  If you climb up to the highest point on the rocks, you can see the top of one of the last standing fire towers to the west; the Sleeping Indian to the north, the plains to the east; as well as a view of the Ceran St. Vrain valley.  Kids enjoy the short hike and climbing on the rock formation with its many natural steps and easily scalable sloped surfaces.

My GPS showed ~167' west and north of the posted coordinates. We found it by following the hint. Yes it is definitely on the west side of the outcrop near the base under and arching rock.

Nice place! Go to the top and enjoy the view.

Staying at the Glacier View Retreat Center. We were able to follow roads in the camp to just about.2 miles from the cache. We cached with the Imani Milele Children's Choir,27 children and 3 of the adults. They are from Uganda,East Africa. Only the 3rd finders since 2013. Cache is 185 ft NW posted coordinates. A great hike and fun hide. TFTC

I never would have found this if Sassydil hadn't paved the way. Her coordinates are pretty good, and the description helped. I had started the day hoping to find some caches off the Bunce School Road, but when I Jeeped in, I found that my GPSr had dropped all of them. I had a good time 4-wheeling up there anyway, but I'm glad I was able to swing over to this cache. It's a very nice spot off a trail that I never would have found any other way. Thanks for setting this one up!

0900 hours I had no idea there was forest access back here. I enjoyed the pleasant walk this morning. I'll give it a favorite point, but the coordinates were about 150 feet off for me. Couldn't find it at GZ so I read the cache description and found it using what you said in the write up.
