This is one of 7 puzzle caches which together constitute the Boulder County Puzzle Tour. For each leg, the cache is not at the posted coordinates. Solve the puzzle, find the cache, and note the clue. Once all 6 'city' or 'town' stages have been completed, the garnered clues can be used to unlock the FINAL cache, somewhere in Boulder County.

You're probably familiar with Sudoku, but maybe not this variant. As in regular Sudoku, every cell in each row, column, and 3x3 box must contain the digits 1 through 9. In addition, this Sudoku variation requires that all the numbers in the cells contained within each dotted-line 'cage' must sum up to the number printed for that cage. Within each cage, a digit may not be repeated.

Dang it. I am a good puzzle solver (at least these types of puzzles) and a lousy cache finder. I have had all the puzzles solved for a couple of years, except the final of course, but have yet to lay hands on a single final. They’re either gone or I’m a doofus (probably it’s a combination of the two). Since some clues are gone anyway and I’m not sure the series is being seriously maintained, I’m kind of outta here.

Enjoyed the puzzle, but DNF today. I saw the snake skin and plenty of wasps, but no cache.

My son and I totally missed the little scrap of paper with the clue for the Boulder County Puzzle Tour. I went back today after reading the logs. Someone mentioned it almost blew away from them. I can see why! Be careful when going through the logs as it's easy to miss and also easy to lose.

TFTC! Puzzle was pretty fun but a little frustrating if you messed up. The cache location can potentially have some dangerous wildlife, so be careful!

The puzzle was definitely difficult but the find was pretty straightforward. Wasps and snake skin in area!
