On our way back to ABQ decided to stay here a few days to go to the event tonight. Container top breaking off into little pieces so we didn't want to risk it, didn't sign it....

Realizing I missed a few yesterday, I hit a few close to the pin in the map first. I made this harder than it needed to be and thoroughly checked out a spot that was not GZ. Had a head slapping moment once I expanded the search. Thanks for the smiley! Find #3519.
Have a quiet weekend so I decided to grab a few for the 360 degrees of Colorado challenge. Hopped in the car kinda early and headed south both Saturday and Sunday. Another cool day today, I think it kept the snakes away. I enjoyed my hikes today, lots of flowers, rocks, cactus and birds to look at. I quit a little earlier today to head home and get some things accomplished, and I believe I'm now below 100 red rays!

Late at night no one seems to notice if you park illegally on the street to grab a geocache. I made the find without any difficulty. But signing the log was another matter. The hole in the lid has allowed water to get inside and the log was soaked. I thought of replacing the log. But without repair to the cache container the log will simply get wet again. Tftc!

Found it. The cap has a hole in it and needs to be replaced.
Finding this cache brings my steak to an end. I started this streak 158 days ago to see how long I could go. Then I realized that on September 28, 2017 is when I got back into geocaching after not playing for about 7 years.
Doing this steak has taught me a lot about myself and keeping my word to myself even at 9:30 at night when I hadn’t gotten my cache for the day. It has been fun and I will continue to go after all sorts of caches. Thanks to all the CO’s for all the hides!

So glad there is a new cache here. I got back from one of SS bus trips & was glad I didn't need to go far to find a cache. The cap does have a hole in it.

This is a very nice park! TFTC. Log was wet but was able to dry it while holding it on the hot metal surface of my car & then signed it.

Easy find. Soaking wet. I don't think that the cache will survive in this position. Left ink blot for signature.

Yay! August 2018 FTF done. My cacheversary was yesterday, so now I'm at 8 years of monthly FTFs! 97 months with this one.
This hide was less evil than its predecessor. Thanks for a quick grab.
Thanks Sandhillers! Logged Tetter from a ninth galaxy using c:geo!
