Walked out the door and made the trek up mostly along the service road for the ski lift to the top. There were some creative moments because the road is so very long and slow going up. Found plenty of directions, including which direction to go very quickly. Must have been the better part of an hour pacing off in that direction the number of feet, give or take. Pushed and flipped and climbed ever so little and came up empty for the final. Eventually just had to escape the mosquitoes. Came back down under the lift, which can be difficult on the steep bits. Chatted with one of the workers who is replacing it for the next ski season.

Third time is a charm. Met cache owner riding in on a horse as I was hiking out. What are the odds of that?

Maybe another day. 'Twas a fine morning for a hike in the woods.
