We hid this cache to honor a fellow geocacher, Da Toad. We had such a great time finding a bunch of his caches along the Platte River and also Riverdale Road one day. We discovered a spot where a cache could be hidden and so we will add one more to the area.

Thanks Da Toad for all the challenging and fun hides.

This is a Deacon container hidden just off the trail. Shouldn't be too hard to find.

I struggled with this one, looking around in about all the spots that I wanted to. The sky was getting a little dark and gloomy and I still wanted to make it a little further down the trail so I gave up and headed out.

Back to this area today looking for a lost item to the south, so headed further up for a couple more caches. Almost gave up on this one but saw a corner peeking out. Well embedded and encrusted, did not look like it had been found in recent months. And indeed, last log signature was Nickygeo, 4/6/16. Seem to be a few possibly bogus finds logged in this area of late. Not really a winter-friendly placement. Found and signed log TFTC.
